Hi :) I'm Tasha.
I'm a contemplative teacher, writer, co-host of
and Juno-nominated recording artist based in Toronto.I'm a glorious mutt: I'm a Jamaican-German Buddhist Lama with Nigerian and Caribbean Indigenous ancestry, who teaches from the wisdom traditions of Tibet and India. In my practice, meditation and creativity are expressions of the same thing: the quest for meaning and connection. They come together in what I like to call the "Contemplo-Creative Path" - a continuous practice of curiosity, deep looking, and love aimed at finding wisdom in the trash fire that is 21st-century life.
What kinds of practices do I share? Everything I do is rooted in the lineages of Dzogchen, Mahamudra, and Vajrayana. I also have a degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto, and lots of training in Western contemplative modalities like Mindfulness-Based Addictions Recovery (MBAR) and Compassion-Based Resilience Training (CBRT).
I share practices that bring us into direct contact with the wisdom and magic of the body, nature, creativity, inquiry, and play. These are practices that liberate our bodies, hearts, minds, and communities.
I mentor & teach artists and practitioners around the world.
